An Early Spring?
A glimpse into the future.
The weather here is unbelievable this week.
Blizzard last week.....
Early Spring this week.
It was 78 today and the breezes tonight seemed almost tropical.
I was out in the backyard yesterday enjoying the beautiful day but I was surrounded by dead plants.
It's not spring...this is a temporary reprieve from winter.
It just seems so strange that the weather is so beautiful but there are no flowers, ferns nor fruit.
Well this weather has me thinking about the warmer months ahead...
Patios are one of my favorite things in the world.
I have a deck in back but I really want a back patio.
I do have a small patio in front to the side of the front porch.
Every year I have one planter there....but this year...I need to do something more exciting with it.
So I've been browsing the internet for inspiration.
All these photos are urging me to do so many things in my backyard.
Are you planning your garden spaces?
As you see my header is changed....full of green and turquoise which is exactly the mood
I am in for the house too. I'm taking down all the pink from Valentine's and replacing with
greens and turquoise.
I'll show soon.
Ooo lovely pics and inspiring post - and yes, I am planning my garden spaces already!
ReplyDeleteI love gardens. Your photos look beautiful. I'm so ready for spring and planting and working in my garden. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI did notice the header and thought it looked great. You always have such a way with images and color. Yes it is a bit of a cruel joke even in Boston it came close to 60 degrees today but the earth is still hidden by mounds of snow. I'll be waiting to see your living room sans pink.
ReplyDeleteMaybe if we all chant together:
ReplyDeleteFlowers, ferns and fruit...
Flowers, ferns and fruit...
Come on, I can't hear you!
Flowers, ferns and fruit...
Keep it up! I can feel it coming this way!
How gorgeous all of these images are :) Xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteOh dear! your header is making me forget my pink and fall in love again with turquoise! I'm so fickle.
ReplyDeletesigh............
I am full of ideas for Spring planting. Last Fall I swore off buying more flowers but right know I'm craving them. I have a horrible broken stone patio under my weeping willow in the backyard but I have BIG plans and I'm going to use some of these photos for inspirations!
XOXO - Cindi
Your header looks great, and yes! I am planning my garden, what I want to plant, annuals, perennials, etc....
ReplyDeleteHey Nita
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely images and yes, nature does tease us. Enjoy those warm temps and I hope you won't get winter back.
Thanks so much for all your encouragement! Girl, I wish we lived closer, you could really push me to success. I am and have been considering so many of your suggestions. I just need to break out of my shell (ha ha!) and push forward.
Many hugs to those gorgeous doxies...

yep...the spring tease..I was just talking about it on my blog, too! Cruel, cruel joke! haha.
ReplyDeleteLove those images and green and turquoise will be so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWHAT BEAUTIFUL SPACES :)
ReplyDeleteJUST GORGEOUS!!
Can't wait for spring--love those patios--I think the special lighting features make outside spaces so special. I need to make a trip to the indoor nursery to pickup some plants to get me through!

Yesiree ... I am SO ready for spring! Yikes, your weather sounds so unpredictable ... are any of your plants starting to sprout yet?
ReplyDeleteI, too, am craving spring -- green grass and beautiful flowers. Unfortunately, everything here in the Texas panhandle looks very much like it does at your house. But I just know that spring is coming! Jana
ReplyDeleteIt has been beautiful today. I could live in that second garden for sure. Just something small with pretty potted flowers and some place to sit and enjoy everything.
ReplyDeleteLove the greens and turquoise colors! This weather is crazy... i just flew in to toronto from Washington state and it is 48 degrees here today... after it's been snow and freezing cold for weeks!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for spring at home.

We have little lights in our yard all year around and we love them. I highly recommend a little mood lighting.

Our seasons are little confused here too...had a dusting of snow last night...and I have several fruit trees with blossoms on them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing beautiful pictures.
