Nita, you are a peach for including my dressing table with these beauties. I loved all of them and was surprised I have never seen ANY of them when I was hunting around for inspiration. I love you cool lamp and your pretty picture holder. It all is so lovely. xxoo
Wow! Beautiful inspiration! I have an old side table with accordion folding panels. It's about 2ft wide and I have a large ornate wooden frame mirror from an old dresser propped on it. I've meant to get around to painting them! Hopefully this will motivate me. On a downer note.... that 4th photo reminded me that I have BROWN paint that I was going to paint my bedroom walls with....but yesterday YOU made me want to paint them PINK! Oh dear! what to do! What to do!
They're all so unique unto themselves but each as beautiful as the other. These are the places that us ladies love to linger while preparing to venture out into the world.
These are so pretty. I would love to have a beautiful vanity set. I do some beautiful antique ones occasionally and am always tempted by them. Sure beats my current "make pretty" spot at the master bathroom sink!
Wendy - No I didn't paint my cabinet. I bought it at a flea market just like that many years ago. The person I bought it from said that the person she bought it from was in the middle of redoing it but never finished. That is why the top is wood finish and the drawers. She intended on stripping the whole thing. I'm so glad she didn't. It's pale turquoise color is what drew me to it. But I like it that the top is stripped and so are the drawers. My Dad wanted to strip the whole thing when he saw it. But I was like NO...that is what I like about it.
This cabinet has been in several areas of my home. At first it was in my dining area of my apartment, then the big kitchen of my little rent house and at first it was in the den/office of this home but not for long...one night I decided to move it to the hall and that it where it's stayed.
Beautiful photos! Your antique cabinet is gorgeous, Nita. That pale turquoise is a lovely color. I like how it is part wood and part painted. Your crystal bowl and lamp are pretty on top. I also like the second photo and the soft periwinkle shade and Amy did a beautiful job with her vanity and the tulle on the bottom of the vanity skirt is perfect! So soft and romantic.
