Mod Mix Monday #171

 via
Came across this Halloween mantel from Country Design Style the other day on Pinterest.
Jeanette of Country Design Style tells exactly how she made this scrap trim wood fireplace.
I think it's just so special and I love the way she decorated it up for Halloween.

Speaking of fireplaces there were some good ones in last week's Mod Mix Monday.
Let's fire them up!
First, this one from Jamie at So Much Better with Age was part of her Fall Home Tour.
The whole tour is great...you won't want to miss.
Vickie of Ranger 911 has been busy repainting her walls and the wood trim in her house.
It's made a huge difference. Here she's created a simple Fall display on her fireplace.
Melody of My Passion for Decor created the most elegant of fall mantels using gilt squash mixed
with green pumpkins.
Laurel of The North End Loft has her house all decked out for Fall.
Just look at her chalkboard there towards the back. But Fall is everywhere in her home.
Too pretty.
Of course here is Darrielle of DD's Cottage and Design. She's here every week.
I love this little buffet she did up all Shabby Chic.
Finding Silver Pennies took us on a tour of her house all decked out for Fall.
It has a coastal vibe and is luscious.
Revi of Revisionary Life created another wonderful wall arrangement.
The centerpiece of which is a mirror she aged and added wire to and a vintage photo.
It's crazy good.
Magali of The Little White House finally came up with the finishing touch for her kitchen redo.
A pale blue bead board one! She decided this way she could change the color if she wished, easily.
Aren't these brown paper pumpkins great?
Cathy of Vintage Paint and More made them of dollar store pumpkins and brown paper bags.
And finally, a lively Fall front porch from Luann of Lovely Livings.
Share your Mod Mix's in this week's party below.

Love all of these. The first one with the slate board, old truck and vintage saw blade...LOVE... not to mention her diy salvaged mantle! I love when I find people on Pinterest and spend hours going through their blog archives :) I get excited when I see items that I have and think oh wow I never thought to use it that way!.
Can't wait to look at all of these blogs after work today.
Wish I could read blogs and pin for a living..then again don't we all?!
Thanks for the contest and the chance to win this pillow cover!! I am so excited! I hope you and the weenies have a Fabulous Fall week!

What an amazing "scrapped" fireplace! In fact, all of the mantles are amazing. It sort of makes me anxious because I haven't done anything with mine yet and I may not get it decorated before the Christmas season hits. Where does all the time go? Anyway, I'm pinning for inspiration . . . maybe next year?
Thanks for hosting and blessings Nita,
Patti

Thanks so much for including my fireplace among this weeks great features, Nita! I've been toying with the idea of making a painted wood fireplace surround and that first photo is amazing! Thanks so much for hosting again this week!
