Mod Mix Monday #159

I love how light and fresh that dining room is above
Filling your fireplace with stacked wood is all the rage.
I just saw an article about Patrick Dempsey showing his Malibu home
and he had a whole wall stacked with wood like that.
It was very cool.

My question is - doesn't that attract bugs?
I sure think it would.

But I love all about that room above and the wood really balances the sweetness of all else.

I got last week's Mod Mix Monday up late so we had only a small number of entries.
But they were good!
Here are my faves....
Cecilia of My Thrift Store Addiction shared her secret garden.
Mary of Orphans with Make Up shared this beauty.
Yep...she works wonders with paint.
Nicki of tshirt & jeans shared her wrapping skills.
Babies Breath makes the perfect topper for a gift.
Who would have thought?

Darrielle of DD's Cottage is always coming up with a surprising creation.
This week's creation is just her style.
Jan of Just Jan shared all the lovely hydrangeas drying around her home.

Great Deal

In the End Zone
I just have to share this amazing deal in the Bob Mills' End Zone aka As Is Room.
This piece of furniture has been my favorite thing in the store since day one.
It's big and it's expensive at $2,387.99. It's made by Four Hands a wonderful furniture manufacturer
that provides furniture for stores such as Restoration Hardware and us!

I showed this piece on my blog in April.
The color is a pale minty grey blue. Very subtle.

Well, this big piece has been moved around the store so much that it's gotten a stress fracture in the carrera marble top.
Yes, a crack across the middle of the top.
But because of this flaw which really wouldn't bother me one bit....it is now....wait for it....wait for it....

$399.99!

If I had room for this it would be coming home with me but I do not.

But maybe one of you does.

If you want it come see it at

3600 W. Reno
Oklahoma City

I want someone I know to snap up this amazing deal.

It's long....I think about 72 inches so be warned you must have a large space for it.

If you want it...call me at 405-410-4854
or come by the store and ask for me!

Mod Mix Monday #155

 via
This room says easy early summer morning, doesn't it?

I like that table with the flowers on it. Notice the cat?

Lots of pretties in last week's Mod Mix Monday.
Mary of Orphans with Makeup gave this farm table a glorious new finish.
Displayed on top? Sapphire Gin bottles filled with fruit tree blossoms.
I need to acquire a taste for gin but it's highly unlikely.

Su at Butterfly & Bungalow made this super pretty romantic pin board.
Darrielle of DD's Cottage is back with this great piece of furniture.
A chippy dresser in Miss Mustard Seed's Apron Strings.
Isn't she pretty?
Silver Pennies created this adorable boy's beachy bedroom.
Jamie of So Much Better with Age took an inexpensive print of Paris and turned it
into something really amazing.
Also from Jamie of So Much Better with Age, her Audrey Hepburn inspired closet.
Oh to have such a closet!

Mod Mix Monday #153

Let's get right to my favorites from last week's Mod Mix Monday!
Revi of Revisionary Life shared Seven Reasons to LOVE Thrift Stores,
Flea Markets & Garage Sales
Suzanne of Simply Suzanne's had a sweet little tea party for her two little girls.
Mallori of Vintage Finds showed off her Spring Porch.

It's full of vintage and vintage inspired items.
Victoria of Trois Petites Filles redid her little girls' room using flea market finds,
vintage treasures and decorative accessories.
Christine of Little Brags showed off her new Adirondack chairs.
Notice her pretty landscape beds.
DD of DD's Cottage bought a bargain madonna figurine
and painted it with chalk paint to give aged patina.
