Mod Mix Monday #106

Pretty Industrial White Kitchen
I love all the stuff in this kitchen.
That huge old sink and there's a vintage stove.
The touches of silver, stainless and other gray metal finishes.
Even the concrete floor adds to the vibe.
Touches of pink don't hurt either.
Looks like you could get a lot done in this kitchen.
It's not precious...it looks hardworking but it's pretty and feminine too!

Each week there is more and more stuff in Mod Mix Monday that I love and I just
can't pick only a handful to show off.
So I don't.
There were even more than this but I forced myself to edit.

Here are my favorites...
Tanya of Twelve O'Eight took and old changing table and spiffed it up into
a nice beverage stand for her
Laura of Cottage and Broome showed off her cottage garden.
Debbie of One Day at a Time found a pair of closeout lamps in a discount store for $5.99 each.
She added a little looking glass spray paint and new shades and whalla!
Melissa of Shabby Love showed off her revamped kitchen.
I love that she kept the scallops above the sink window.
She added beadboard detail to all and wood countertops.
Cottage Chic!
Lisa of Create Inspire painted a vintage vanity and all I can say is Pretty! Pretty! Pretty!
Someone will be the lucky new owner of this.
Cindy of Cottage Instincts painted this little beauty.
Pretty is as Pretty does.
Sharon of Lilikoi Joy redid her whole master bedroom and it is amazing!
I love all the gray with pops of bright pastels. Love the white bedding too and that rug!
Oh...and the headboard and well...many things.
Scribbler Unfocused has lots of great vintage garden furniture but she recently painted this iron sofa gold and piled it with these fabulous cushions and pillows.
Laura at Whimsical Perspectives has a cute little potting bench and growing above
an herb garden in wire planters. So cute.
Leanne of The Burlap Cottage decorated her front porch.
It's very serene...subdued in its color scheme but fresh looking too.
Love the hydrangea pillows. And I am really loving the look of a lamp in an outdoor space.
Diane of Design til it Shines made a cute little mossy summer banner and
added it to a collection of garden things on the mantel.

Mod Mix Monday #104

Pretty painted old wicker mixed with modern pillows.
I need those pillows.

Many good things in last week's Mod Mix Monday.
I'm sure glad I don't have to pick only three favorites because I always have more than three.
Melissa of Shabby Love took an old potato storage bin and turned it into this
sweet country french cabinet. I know I've seen these at thrift stores and just kept walking.
I won't next time.
Manuela of A Cultivated Nest showed off her porch all done up for summer 2013!
My, you feel like you are on vacation the moment you step out there or for that matter look at it.
Laurel at The North End Loft took and old dresser and turned it into this fabulous TV console.
Rita aka Suburbs Mama gave a tour of her home. Every room is Mod Vintage.
I especially love this vignette including her retro stereo.
Kelly of Our Kenilworth Home completely changed her kitchen with paint.
It's very pretty now!
Carolyn of Aiken House and Gardens decorated her new boat house.
Isn't this divine? What a perfect place to spend a summer afternoon.
And finally, I couldn't resist this cute little sign created by Rita of Harbour Breez Home
She used scrap wood, left over paint and old reflectors.
This sign was just one of many she created for a gallery wall of art in her home.

Good...weren't they?

Time to link up what you've been up to lately.

Mod Mix Monday #103

I love the mix of things in this kitchen. It's very old and new.
Even the way the chandeliers are wired together adds interest.
I love a big antique mirror in a kitchen...so unexpected!
The cabinets are a little too rustic for my taste but I adore all else.

So much stuff I liked in this past week's Mod Mix Monday that I am featuring eight different things I loved.
That's ok, it's my blog and I can if I want to.

Here they are!
Revi of Revisionary Life showed how to create your own faux aged mirrors.
I have to say I'd been thinking about doing this myself. I love the look of aged mirrors but it seems a lot
of work to spot remove the silver from the back of a real mirror.
Why not just paint a piece of glass with mirror paint and age it?
I'm so wanting to try this.
Revi Revisionary Life also painted this old cupboard shabby white.
I really love the vignette on the top too.
Angela of Number Fifty-Three painted another lovely dresser.
This time the perfect shade of blue.
Debbie of Debbie Dabble always has lots of color in her garden but look at her azalea bush!
It's incredible!
Cindy of Cottage Instincts painted this little table in Miss Mustard Seed's Kitchen Scale.
I love the way Cindy styled this with the blue green hydrangeas and blue canning jars and blue books.
By the way...my friend Amy is having a sale of Miss Mustard Seed paint.
Buy it here - Maison Decor.
Since it's in powder form, it is very easy and inexpensive to ship!
Lisa of Helene's Legacy organized her jewelry drawer using vintage china dishes.
I love this idea!
Melissa of Daisy Mae Belle created herself a quick and easy deck to cover an
ugly spot in her yard. She called it redneck but it looks pretty good to me!
Look how adorable this little bedside table is created by The Weathered Door.
It's a vintage suitcase with mid century legs attached.
She styled it great too.

Now on to this week...

Mod Mix Monday #96

Ok, this room totally makes me want to paint my living room white.
Love this room. But really love those chevron shades.
And I don't like chevron. But I think I need these in a bad way somewhere!
This room just is so fun and live-able.

I am finally fully recovered from my sickness. Boy...that was a tough one...it lasted two weeks.
My Mom turned 75 on Friday and we spent the day together celebrating.
She is feeling soooo good. She is almost back 100%.
Actually, she said it had been so long since she felt this good.
Sometimes modern medicine is truly a miracle.

Lots of good things last week in Mod Mix Monday.
Hopefully, I'll start getting some things done around here again since I'm feeling better.
Thanks to everyone that weighed in on my living room painting dilemma.
Many different opinions...and I keep going back and forth.
Anyway...on to my favorites from last week...
Lisa at Create Inspire painted an old dresser this wonderful shade of blue.
I like the way she styled it too.
Rita aka Suburbs Mama showed of her gorgeous updated living room.
It's definitely a Mod Vintage Mix.
Helen of Picked and Painted is back with another pretty dresser.
Love the shape of this one redone in a shabby white.
I am loving what Danielle of Silver Pennies did with some canning jars.
I'm usually not into canning jars in my own decor. I love them in other's.
But I really like these painted ones. They give them a modern flair.
Gwen at The Bold Abode wallpapered her stairs!
Yep...she did...and it is crazy good.

Mod Mix Monday #93

Is it ethnic? Bohemian? I don't know but I love it!
I really like that purple floral pillow on the french chair covered in a modern purple fabric
and I don't really like purple but I love this!

There were so many good things in last week's Mod Mix Monday...it was
hard to pick my favorites....but I gave it my all...
Andrea of Opulent Cottage took an old french dresser that had been around her house a long time
and turned it into something uber-fabulous for her daughter.
I love the way she styled this too. I want that lamp!
Laura at Whimsical Perspective shared how to make this huge paper flower.
Isn't it cute? I want to make a bunch of these.
Lisa of Create Inspire did this gorgeous makeover of a buffet.
I love the natural wood with the black.
It's so elegant!
Melody of My Passion for Decor made over a dowdy chair.
Isn't it special now? I love that fabric.
Tanya of Twelve O Eight created this upcycled sofa table.
What a great idea this was! It's so attractive to have been made of such simple things.
Ricki Jill of Art @ Home has been busy with a kitchen makeover.
She got new countertops and painted her kitchen island pink!
I love the barstools she chose!
