For my inspiration today I chose this exquisite red silk buffalo check upholstered sofa.

Doesn't it look so cozy? I just want to sink into those cushions.

Love the mix of pillows on it too.
The artwork above is interesting and keeps the whole thing from being to sweet.

Without further ado....the winners of last week's Mod Mix Monday are...

 Vickie of Ranger 911 grabbed this old cupboard when someone was giving it away.

It was a little to wide for her chest. How to solve that? Hang it on the wall.

I love how she styled it with a few yellow accessories including a dress and a little sewing machine.

Silvia of Shabby Soul shared her renovated kitchen. 

It's lovely now but it was scary in the before photos! 

 Mary of Boogieboard Cottage added spring to her living room with the addition of a few things.

It looks perfect for early spring!

 Katie of Upcycled Treasures knocked off a West Elm rug. Her trick?

Magic Markers!!! 

 Sharon at Elizabeth and Company made this pretty burlap wreath and shows you how to make one too!

Abby of Abby's Way made a special spring wreath in which she included little trinkets

she had about. She said she wanted it to be mostly neutral but still have the feeling of spring.

She succeeded.

This piece got me to thinking about my favorite distressed furniture photos 

I've pinned.

I think that finish would be pretty easy to copy.

 This just says fall to me.

I adore those lamps, lampshades and that console table.

Oh the mirror and chandelier too. 

I think this is just a perfect entry to a home. 

Makes me wish I had an entry.

So, lately I've found some really good things on Craigslist.

I'm thinking what sort of painted finish I want to give them.

Which is why I was browsing my Pretty Furniture board and thinking how I will transform them.

So....

It finally started to cool today here.

It was only 84 and everyone acted like it was a cold snap.

I had a lady and her Mom come in the store buying all kinds 

of fall decor stuff and lots of candles.

They said all of a sudden it felt like fall outside and 

they had to come get their fall stuff to 

fix up the house. 

They couldn't wait to get home and light all their candles. 

I'm feeling that way too...all of a sudden I'm ready to get the fall candles out.

Today, I received a giant box of goodies from Jo-Ann Fabrics.

All kinds of great things to use for crafting.

Like glitter fabric paints, glass paints, different adhesives, scrapbook paper,

etc.....a huge box of stuff! 

Oh...sometimes it's so good to be a blogger!

I'll be crafting projects for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas using 

supplies I get at Jo-Ann's.

I'm very excited about it!

Love this iron bed turned summer sofa...don't you?

A big bunch of brightly colored pillows makes it the ideal spot on a summer's day.

I'd like to see it out on a porch but this little room will do.

As usual many pretty and inspiring things created by Mod Vintage Life readers this last week.

Lets peek at my favorites, shall we?

Cindy at Cottage Instincts named this table "Victoria" and she's befitting the name

with all her elegant turnings and scallops. Love her in the chippy white finish.

Cindy of Oakview Cottage added some turquoise and red splashes of color to her sideboard in the dining room. I love how cheerful it is.

Marty of A Stroll Thru Life turned some really tacky knick knacks into exquisite brass look a likes.

Gail of Purple Hues and Me was inspired by some cute burlap owls she saw that another blogger had bought. She decided to make some of her own and put her own spin on them.

She has a tutorial on how to make your own.

Rita or Suburbs Mama shared her play room / guest room.

This bed from IKEA really caught my eye all decked out in fun pillows.

Love the wall stencil she did in the room too.

Cyndi of Blue Star Antiques whipped this small buffet into shape. 

I can just imagine some baskets on those blue shelves. 

Denise of Bella Dreams has been working on her outdoor potting area.

She just got it all put together...plants to follow soon.

It's pretty as it is...I can just imagine how it will be full of growing things!
