Rain Boots in Decor

These Boots Are Made For
D E C O R A T I N G !!!
Have you noticed all the rain boots showing up in decor photos?
They've become the chic'est of accessories.
See how Courtney of French Country Cottage recently used them when showing off her bathroom?
They immediately bring the feeling of spring into a vignette.
Filled with long stemmed flowers and branches...
they create an instant sense of spring.
Pretty yellow boots filled with daisies create the cutest of door decor.
Fun at the front porch steps.
They make such cute whimsical planters.
Seems any kind of rain boots will do...from utilitarian black to pastel florals and
hot pink!
Don't have a pair sitting around your house?
You can pick these up at Pier 1.
They are ceramic but look like a mottled green pair of boots.
They'd be so cute with forsythia branches jutting out the top.

Thanks for all your advice on getting well.
Sometime this afternoon I took a turn for the better.
Sore throat much better and I'm at least coherent now.
Another couple of days and I'll be out running around again.

Don't you just hate being sick?
You have all these things you planned on doing and
you can't do any of them because you feel so crappy.
I am glad that I at least got to be sick at home with all the weenies.
They didn't mind it one bit.

Easter Mod Mix!!!

More From Mod Mix Monday
I'm using only blue and green eggs his year...but I ran out!
Tomorrow, I'll paint some of the yellow and pink ones.....blue and green.
As promised...I picked out some of my favorite Easter themed links.

I was going to take photos today but I am way too sick to do anything.

Here are my favorite Easter links from Mod Mix Monday!
Melissa of Daisy Mae Belle has a tute on how
to make this cute Bunny Wreath for your front door.
Christine at Little Brags showed off her Easter porch which included....
a Real Live Easter Bunny!
Melissa of Daisy Mae Bell decorated her dining room all up
for Easterand shared how to make some very cute carrots.
Penny of Penny's Vintage Home made this gorgeous Easter Flower Display.
Oh...my it is lush!

I am still super sick today although slightly better.
Hopefully, I'll feel good enough to finish my Easter Dining Room and share.
We'll see...

I did not go to the doctor. I know a cold just has to run it's course but I've never had
a sore throat last this long!

I don't think it's strep.
Although I've never had it to know what it's like.
My throat doesn't hurt as bad today but it still hurts.

My Easter Mantel

I put this mantel together last week but it needed a rabbit so I didn't show 'til
I made a trip to Pier 1 and bought this cutie.
I took his ribbon and the silly eggs that were glued to him off.
Immediately, he looked better.
Here's the long view.
I just kept adding things until I had a little garden vignette.
The wreath I got last year at Pier 1 after Easter at 90% off!
What a deal! Especially, since I'd wanted it when it was regular price.
Oh..I've been having fun the last few days helping people put together their Easter table decor at work.
A nice lady came in with her Mother today and they were getting pretty things to make
her Mom's house ready for Easter.
She wanted two lanterns to put on the table.
I suggested three...with one of them being larger and filling it with a little nest and a sweet bird.
She thought I was a genius with this idea.
I didn't tell her it was a standard decor item on the blogs.
I just let her think I was a decorating genius.
They were very happy leaving with several sacks of Easter goodies.
I buy a few packages of eggs every year too after Easter...
a person can never have too many faux Easter eggs.
This isn't even all of them. I limited my palette here to blue, green and yellow.
I still have lavenders and pinks in another basket.
See how sweet that bunny is? He was really tacky when he had his ribbon and eggs glued to him.
Such a small thing can make such a difference.
I've also decorated the dining room buffet for Easter and am working on the
dining room table. I'll show that soon.

Oh...I love Easter stuff and the promise of Spring!
