I especially love the fireplace surrounds. Oh, and the bathroom with the old, fancy brass fixtures is a great image, too. Her house was spotless and we had to drink our 7-Up in the kitchen at the table and still use coasters. Oh, the memories! In the Maldives, you are not even allowed to collect them off of the beach as they will eventually get washed back into the sea, eventually get ground down to make the lovely beaches. Same in The Red Sea. You can get fined. I live by the seaside where some shops sell shells (say that real fast!) and there are times I wish I had less information in my brain, but I can't go and buy them now! It wouldn't feel right somehow. :(Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518721847478228439.post-60179385744648732992011-08-17T08:15:21.620-05:002011-08-17T08:15:21.620-05:00Hello Nita! I could feel the ocean mist on my face and the wind blowing through my hair, heck I could even feel the sand beneath my feet, as I gathered shells.

Just look at all the beauty that you can build with shells from the shore. Love the mirror, and that fireplace is gorgeous. Have you ever seen anything so gorgeous and lively? I so enjoyed seeing the play of shells with pearls inside the legged bowl. How beautiful that is. Even the ones in the silver serving tray were exquisite. Who would have thought?
Thank you so much for sharing, and you have inspired me to get my bags of shells out and start decorating.

Please stop by my blog and leave a comment. We are having Miracle Makeover and it ends tomorrow August 18th. Guidepost Magazine and Design Gives Back will donate 1.00 for every comment left on my blog. (I am one of the hosting sites.) We are trying to raise funds for the next Miracle Makeover, and you just have to meet Charlie and his family. Charlie is this years makeover, he is 8 years old, and has cancer. He will just melt your heart. Hope to see you stop by. Suppose it's because I was born and raised in the desert, shells are fascinating to me, the colors and shapes - beautiful and artistic.jeanette from everton terracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02025486213973874174noreply@blogger.com
