I just found your blog a couple of weeks ago.

I'm a little behind on this comment but I agree with Hocus Pocus. So cheesy but so good and its an overall Halloween feeling that I love to watch every year. And I also agree with you on Sleepy Hallow. Love that movie. The original Fog is scary too. I also like Poltergeist, The Monster Squad and the Craft.

Happy Belated Halloween!!Erinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518721847478228439.post-17776279827179471812010-10-29T21:10:00.983-05:002010-10-29T21:10:00.983-05:00Oh and I watched Practical Magic for the very firs...Oh and I watched Practical Magic for the very first time this year. I don't have any good suggestions because ALL of my favs are already on your list. Last year my favorite new scary movie find was Trick r Treat. Took me forever to get my hands on it. This year I added Edward Scissorhands to my collection (love Johhny Depp). Sleepy Halloween may be my fav of all time scary movie...Enjoy your movie marathon!Melanie {The Tiny Tudor}https://www.blogger.com/profile/03333850561872321707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518721847478228439.post-10376195672297561662010-10-27T17:09:04.873-05:002010-10-27T17:09:04.873-05:00Don't forget "Young Frankenstein"

It's just perfect in witchcraft and romance.
I adore Sleepy Hollow and the Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride, they're usually in the mix each year, too.

Just watched The Orphanage and loved it!

Going to watch Drag Me to Hell. The new, yet three-ish-years-old, Amityville Horror looks great. I also have Perfume: The Story of a Murderer--set in period time, with Alan Rickman, in my queue.

I'd also suggest the Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby as classics. The Ninth Gate is good but strange. It's another Johnny Depp one. The Craft is also quite nice. For a slightly lighter, adventurous movie, Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman is good. He fights Dracula, he is shirtless occasionally. :) Set in Romania with Kate Beckinsale.

Thanks for the good suggestions yourself! I haven't made it to Sweeney Todd yet!

Happy Hauntings!
SondraThe House of Healyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17706158317183746084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518721847478228439.post-10005567184083761472010-10-26T22:06:47.177-05:002010-10-26T22:06:47.177-05:00I love that I got great suggestions from everyone....I love that I got great suggestions from everyone. I've heard that I should watch the SAW movies - that I would like them....oh...I forgot to mention "The Orphanage". That one is so good too. And I watched "Let the Right One In" to which is the original of "Let Me In" which just came out and I have not seen.

Of course.... "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" is at the top of the list. It will be on tv this Thursday...I don't think I have a copy of it...but I need one. My Mom has it.

I did watch "House on Haunted Hill" the other night and found it pretty good. And last year I saw "House of the Devil" and it was scary.

Oh and did watch "Drag Her to Hell" last year and just kept saying to the tv...."Oh...bless her heart". She really did get herself in a pickle being cursed by that old gypsy woman.

I don't know if I've seen the original "The Haunting"...I'll have to look for that one.

And I've never seen "The Ring" or "Hocus Pocus" - wow lots of movies I need to see this week.Nita Stacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13833196166679983378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518721847478228439.post-55608440248167045182010-10-26T21:37:05.888-05:002010-10-26T21:37:05.888-05:00ooh, what a great list. i haven't seen that t...ooh, what a great list. i haven't seen that trick R treat one, but i have to second hocus pocus! it's just one of those ones that i have to watch to make it really halloween time. that, and the halloween episode of my favorite tv show (my so called life) that i watch on dvd every year. and all the old roseannes? they did halloween great!the cape on the cornerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01283196154486318371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518721847478228439.post-11892689309416827872010-10-26T20:19:55.090-05:002010-10-26T20:19:55.090-05:00Gahhh! We bought Drag Me To Hell at Target and I thought it was really good, scary but humorous. The Ring terrifies me no matter how many times I watch it and there's a movie from 1976 with Jody Foster in it that I have always found spooky, it's called The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane. TCM is showing it sometime this weekend I think. Enjoy your movies and I'm going to have to hunt for the Trick R Treat one, looks good!!!Victoriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14871388473674516955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1518721847478228439.post-22712320597813206052010-10-26T15:16:59.341-05:002010-10-26T15:16:59.341-05:00My favorite?
